We came to Baltimore wondering if we were wondering about how our time would go in an area where we haven't been very good at staying connected with. And then just as if someone turned on the fire hose, water began to flow, and we have been trying to stay afloat ever since. Originally we came to Baltimore to be able to celebrate what God has done in our lives through participating in my church's annual missions conference. Little did we know that we would be given so much opportunity to share God's story in our lives with so many. We spent the first week being able to share to literally every student in the school I attended as a youngster. We had chapel engagements, and class room "show and tells", and really had a great time sharing with many. We even had the opportunity to tell a little about our work with MAF while painting little airplane models with 3rd graders.

E loved the opportunity to be able to play with so many kids, and I think was inspired about the prospects of school. I don't know if we are ready for that yet, he's growing way too fast!
Shortly after that week concluded we received a phone call from some great friends in Charlotte. They knew that we were headed even further north from Baltimore to the New York and Boston areas. Being the networkers that they are they put us in touch with their home church whom just happened to be having their missions conference...starting in 2 days! We had originally planned on heading to New York to celebrate my grandfathers 90th birthday party, and then on to Boston as time allowed. Funny how the best plans of mice and men do often go awry. So off to Cape Cod we went to have the awesome opportunity to share about what the Lord is doing. The challenge happened to be getting through the 8 hr drive before the conference began, 12 short hours later. Thankfully we arrived in Cape Cod to this beautiful view, and the crispness of fall in the air.

It would be one thing if we were content to sit in "the Cape" as its called, but my grandfathers party was just the next day, so after a great time with an wonderful little church nestled in what some would arguably consider "God's country" we loaded back up and headed to New York for a great time with family.

However, time was not on our side as so just as soon as we arrived and exchanged Happy Birthday wishes, it was back to the car seats for the 250 mile trip back to the Cape for another great day of the church's missions conference. I am so thankful that I was blessed with a son that has his mother's easy going disposition, because driving from Massachusetts, through Connecticut, to New York and back in one day is a lot to ask of a little guy who doesn't care much for his 5 point harnessed car seat.
And so after traveling about 1000 miles in 48 hrs we are ready to sit back with a cup of tea and enjoying the view for a little while.
