Our History

Our vision for ministry is to show Life, in the depth, width, and height of Jesus' love.  As new missionaries with Mission Aviation Fellowship, I (Jonathan) will serve as a maintenance specialist, utilizing the skills and talents of my hands to physically show Jesus' love to the people we will be serving.

Born and raised in Baltimore, MD, I came to know the Lord through the school I attended.  It was during a church missions conference in high school that I felt the call to vocational ministry.  However, I was unsure how I could serve until a close friend challenged me to use my mechanical abilities for God's glory.  This led to studies in aviation maintenance during college, where I was able to hone my skills as an aviation mechanic.  After graduation, I worked in motorsports, using my comprehensive technical training on and off the track.

Amy's Be Unafraid
Amy was born into a family with a history of full-time missions, in Waxhaw, NC.  As a child she felt the call to overseas ministry.  She began to pursue this seriously during high school, and after a short-term mission trip to Romania, she finally determined that this was what the Lord had for her.  She went on to college to earn her bachelor's degree, where we met and realized that we were both passionate about missions.  We were married in 2001, and have been seeking out what the Lord would have for us since I finished my education in 2005.

After a few years as DINKs (dual income no kids), we were blessed with our son in 2008.  Only a year and a half after becoming parents, we felt the Lord leading us to Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF), where we are excited to serve Him in many unique and challenging ways.
