Baltimore Bound...

good photo

So it has only taken us 10 years to be able to spend some real "time" in Baltimore.  Of course we have been able to pop in and out for the occasional holiday of special event, but never any "real" time.  As we continue on this journey of sorting, packing, and building our support team before we leave,  we have been allowed the privilege to come back home for some "real time".  As soon as we arrived we have jumped into the swing of things.  This week is the annual missions conference at my home church and we have been delighted to be able to reconnect and visit with those whom we haven't been able to see in some time.  It has been great to be able to celebrate what the Lord has done in our lives and with those around us.  Some things never change, and often other things do. It was a great reminder to me of why we are doing what we are doing as I was able to revisit the spot where I felt the Lord call me to full time service, unfortunately the church had built a wall on it, but somewhere under that mix of 2x4's and drywall is my "altar" of remembrance reminding me that "anytime and any place, even to the ends of the earth, I will serve my God with all my mind, body, and strength."
The photo above was taken in one of the few periods that we have been able to find for ourselves.  One of the beauties of Baltimore is that you can be in the heart of a city life, and then just a few short miles away can find yourself sitting quietly at the banks of the Gunpowder river.  Maryland truly is "breathtaking"
